Handerson arrived in Santa Catarina when he was 8 years old. Since childhood he would stay up all night listening to radio and recording his favorite music. His favorite show was Dance Now, from a group of DJs based in Balneário Camboriú. He was always impressed by the mixing and decided to buy some records so he could play in high school parties. Handerson took a DJ class when he was 17 years old and played in few clubs he used to work in. One year later, an entrepreneur saw his work and invited him to play as resident at the (now closed) Baturité club.
The DJ started producing radio shows and opened up a studio. His music is influenced by Maceo Plex, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Sven Vath, Eric Prydz, Trentemoller and many others. In his 20 years as a DJ, Handerson had the opportunity to play all over Brazil and other five different countries, including the UK. He highlights the clubs Sky Beach, Taj Bar, Green Valley, At Home and P12 around Florianópolis.
To Handerson, the high tourism appeal the region has is a big input on his developing new material in the electronic scene. According to him, we export very talented names to many places. Handerson is extending his work to Europe to develop bridges between Brazil and the rest of the world.
