Florianópolis was the start to Lirous K’yo as a DJ. She started playing in 2016 at her friends’ club; and like a flash, soon became resident and was awarded the Newcomer DJ of the year. Lirous’ main aims are to bring joy and awareness to people. She worries about the content of her music and how it represents the diversities in our society.

Lirous is not only a DJ but an empowering symbol reaching especially the social minorities. Playing EDM, electropop and funktronica, she makes the crowds go crazy at the alternative clubs Jivago, 1007, Blues Velvet, Cabaret Night Club and Rancho do Maneca. As a very active DJ, Lirous not only plays in clubs but also in independent parties such as Pop Gay, the LGBT Parade, and many big carnival street blocks in Florianópolis.

With very creative presentations, the DJ uses costumes and creates special dances so the public can have good fun. She already played as a vampire full of fake blood and glitter; and ended up that everyone in the party happily got full of fake blood and glitter as well. Lirous is always studying the art of music, spreading ideas of happiness through equality, and supporting more DJs that represent diverse identities, classes and styles in the clubs.
