Pimpo Gama grew up in the music scene as his family used to sell musical instruments and 80’s/90’s records. At 13 years of age, Pimpo started djing inspired by the disco music and names such as Moby, Armand van Helden and the Chemical Brothers. As his career evolved, he stopped listing preferred styles, labeling himself to enjoy feeling and playing the music that is appropriated for each moment.
Although he is from Santa Maria, Pimpo has lived in Balneário Camboriú, Chapecó and now Florianópolis, making of Santa Catarina his sweet home. He has played in most of the best clubs in Santa Catarina, such as Warung, Milk, Green Valley, P12, El Fortin, The Garden, Matahari, and many others. Pimpo says his moments playing in Santa Catarina were all amazing and unforgettable. His performance in these clubs brought him a contract with the Dirtybird, one of the biggest electronic labels in the world.
Pimpo displays the undeniable quality of an experienced international DJ and producer that attracts 3 million people. He has played in Germany, Uruguay, Argentina and Portugal. It is impossible not to feel the energy and not get inspired by his music. Pimpo says now that he is living in Florianópolis, he will transform the good vibes from the island into new music and projects. He has a studio in Florianópolis to encourage producers and musicians to play together and exchange experiences and cultures.
